1. Introduction

Welcome to Ballot Right, an online voting platform used to create polls, participate in voting, manage elections, and print voting results. By accessing or using Ballot Right, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Definitions

• Platform means Ballot Right and its related services.
• User means any individual accessing or using the Platform.
• Owner/Admin means a user with authority to create, manage, and control a poll.
• Voter means a user authorized to participate in a poll.
• Poll means an election, voting session, or decision process created on the Platform.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

Access to Ballot Right requires sign-in through Google authentication only. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and all actions performed through your authenticated session.

4. Poll Creation and Management

Users may create and manage their own polls as Owners/Admins. The same user may also participate as a voter in other polls where they are eligible.

5. Voting Rules and Fair Usage

• Voting must be fair, lawful, and consistent with poll rules set by the Owner/Admin.
• Users must not manipulate voting results or attempt to bypass system restrictions.
• Any attempt to interfere with poll integrity may result in immediate suspension or termination.

6. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when using the Platform.
• Use the Platform responsibly and respect other users and election processes.
• Do not impersonate any person, institution, or organization.

7. File Upload and Data Accuracy

Users may upload Excel files containing lists of eligible voters. You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, completeness, and formatting of all uploaded files and data.

8. Data Collection and Privacy

Ballot Right stores user data, including name, email, profile image, Google ID, matric number, department, and faculty, to provide core service functionality. By using the Platform, you consent to this data processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Admin and Owner Rights(Permissions)

• Owners/Admins may add users to polls.
• Owners/Admins may remove users from polls at any time.
• Owners/Admins control poll settings, participant eligibility, and election management actions within their polls.

10. Account and Access Termination

Ballot Right reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, where necessary to protect platform integrity, users, or legal compliance.

11. Prohibited Activities

• Vote manipulation, fraud, or unauthorized automation.
• Impersonation or use of another person's identity.
• Abuse, harassment, malicious behavior, or disruption of platform operations.
• Attempts to bypass security controls, eligibility rules, or system restrictions.

12. Limitation of Liability

Ballot Right and its operators are not liable for losses, damages, disputes, or consequences arising from user actions, poll misuse, or incorrect data submitted by users. The platform owner is not responsible for misuse of the Platform by users.

13. Service Availability

Ballot Right is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free performance, or continuous access at all times.

14. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Platform, and we may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Use

These Terms govern general use of Ballot Right across educational, organizational, and public contexts. Users agree to act lawfully and responsibly based on the rules and policies applicable to their institution or organization.
